Festival events
Please note that all Festival Events may be subject to amendment or cancellation. This is entirely at the Organiser's discretion. If the Organisers have to amend or cancel an event, you will be contacted as soon as practicable. Please see below regarding refunds on tickets.
Non-ticketed Events
These events do not need to be booked in advance. Some may require an entry fee on the door; some are Free ! Check the Festival programme for details.
Ticketed Events
The Festival Village has the 2 main venues; The Festival Marquee (600 capacity, reserved seats), The du Maurier Theatre (135 capacity, reserved seats)
In general, Community Events will provide Unreserved Seating and a known maximum capacity appropriate to the venue, eg Fowey Town Hall capacity is 100 seats. If any event is 'Sold Out', a waiting list will be set-up for last-minute availability.
Walks, Tours and Cruises have a maximum capacity but may also provide a waiting list option. If there is sufficient support, an extra Walk or Tour etc may be arranged, subject to availability of a Guide. Please ensure that you give your best personal contact phone number for the waiting list
The Box Office usually opens to first Patrons in late-February. Patrons will need to quote their Name and Patrons ID number to place a priority order.
The Box Office then opens to the general public in March.
The Box Office opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Mon-Sat.
Prior to the Festival, ticket may be purchased via our Box Office online, by phone, by post or in-person and also at 'Bookends Too', Fowey in-person only.
During the Festival, tickets may be purchased at the Box Office in St Austell, 'Bookends Too' or at our 'Festival Village Box Office'.
Tickets may be available 'on the door', subject to availability.
Credit / Debit card orders are currently subject to a Booking Fee of £1.50 per Order. There is a Postage charge (mainland UK) of 50p per Order. Tickets for Overseas Festivalgoers can either : 1. Be posted and charged at cost of posting, including an Air Mail fee as appropriate or 2. Retained for collection at either Box Office location - proof of identity will be required.
Tickets are allocated on a 'first-come, first-served' basis. We will always endeavour to allocate the best seats available at the time of booking. Whilst we will endeavour to fulfill requests for specific seats, we cannot guarantee the availability of your requested seats and will allocate the best available alternative seats. Please book early to avoid disappointment!
Online bookings. Seats will be reserved at the time of placing the order Online. Reserved seat events -our system selects for you the best seats available at the time of booking. An email order acknowledgement will be sent to you. The Box Office will process the Card payments, print the tickets and despatch the order as soon as possible. Due to heavy demand at the start of the Booking Period, please allow 7 days for your tickets to arrive. Tickets will be posted using 2nd Class Royal Mail to the address provided. The delivery address need not be the home address but we need to know the address to which the credit/debit card is registered.
Phone bookings. Discuss with our staff, seats that you would like - from those still available. Your seats will be reserved at the time of placing the order. Card payments will be taken, tickets printed and despatched as soon as possible. Due to heavy demand at the start of the Booking Period, please allow 7 days for your tickets to arrive. Tickets will be posted using 2nd Class Royal Mail to the address provided. The delivery address need not be the home address but we need to know the address to which the credit/debit card is registered.
Postal bookings. Seats will be reserved at the time of the Box Office receiving the order. Card payments will be taken, tickets printed and despatched as soon as possible. Cheque payments will be processed. Tickets will be posted using 2nd Class Royal Mail / International post to the address provided. The delivery address need not be the home address but we need to know the address to which the credit/debit card is registered.
In-person bookings. Reserved seat events - In discussion with the Box Office staff, you may select specific seats when making your booking, subject to availability. Unreserved seats/ Walks,Tours etc are subject to the venue's maximum capacity. Payment may be made by Credit/Debit card, Cheque, supported by a cheque guarantee card, or Cash. NB 'Bookends Too' can only accept payment by Cheque or Cash. Tickets will be printed at the time and supplied to you.
Waiting Lists - If an event is 'sold out', you have the option of being included in a chronological waiting list for that event. If extra capacity becomes available, we will contact people on the waiting list by phone to offer a seat, or place on a walk etc. Please give your best personal contact phone number for the waiting list as we need to speak to before we are able to reserve seats/places that may become available..
Venue Locations - On each event, the postcode clicks through to Google Maps. Please note, the postcode may only give an approximate position for the venue location. This link is intended only for your guidance. If you are unsure of the venue location, please check well before the event.
Delivery of tickets. Orders will be despatched as soon as possible and should be received within a few days in mainland UK. If your tickets have not arrived within 7 days, please contact the Box Office, quoting your Name, Postcode and Order Number. For the first 2 weeks of the Booking period, due to the high volume of orders being placed, please allow up to 10 days to receive your tickets before contacting us again..
Credit / Debit Card Payments - Your Card / Bank Statement will show a reference of 'Cornish Riviera' by the transaction for Festival ticket purchases.
The Box Office facility is provided by The Cornish Riviera Box Office @ St Austell TIC, a private business, independent of the event organisers.
Programme details are correct at the time of going to Press, however the event organisers reserves the right to alter the programme without prior notice.
We regret that there can be no refunds or exchanges for Tickets purchased. If an event has to be cancelled by the organisers, prior to commencement of the event, refunds to the value of the tickets purchased will be sent by post.
Personal information provided will only be used by the Box Office or event organisers to keep you informed of events connected to the Daphne du Maurier Festivals and in the general management of the Box Office service. We may conduct research using the information in order that we may improve the service that we offer. Information provided to us will not be divulged to a third party. Our handling of your personal information is subject to the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
