The 2009 Festival took place from Thursday 7th to Saturday 16th May, inclusive.  Thank you all for the many, many compliments received about the variety and quality of events in this year's programme, its gorgeous location in Cornwall, the superb community events and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere throughout.  It's no wonder that, last year, the Oldie magazine put the Du Maurier Festival as the 'second best Festival in Britain' - which of course, means that it's the Best Festival in England - with 'Hay' being over the Welsh border!  See 2009 Festival Reviews

This year, more than ever, the Festival will need evidence of your support.  Cornwall now has a Unitary Authority.
