Description

Whether it is Cornwall’s heritage, history, people or landscape, the county continues to provide
remarkable inspiration to artists, poets and writers.
The sense of place is a vital element in the novels of
authors including Daphne du Maurier Sir Arthur Quiller Couch, and Winston Graham.

Patrick Gale and Philip Marsden are two contemporary writers who have written novels set in
Cornwall and have chosen to make the county their home.
Today, in discussion with BBC Cornwall’s Tim Hubbard, they discuss what makes Cornwall special and how its influence stimulates creativity, passion and the imagination of writers past, present and future.
