Information for Disabled People 

Events have an icon on the website listing to indicate accessibility :
The Festival Village is designed to be fully accessible for physically disabled people.  When placing an order for tickets, please ensure that you request seating suitable for disabled access.  At the Festival Village, both the Festival Marquee and Du Maurier Theatre are fitted with Inductive Loops for use by people using with hearing aids - set the hearing aid control to the 'T-position'
Community Events, the quality of accessibility may vary. Please contact the organisers to verify the level of accessibility. St Austell Arts Theatre has an Inductive Loop for those using hearing aids.

Car Parking - the 'Main' Car Park in Fowey is the nearest car park to the Festival Village.  Disabled parking bays are available but Blue Badge holders must pay the Car Parking charges as displayed - See Below.    Free Parking is only available for those people in receipt of a Mobility Allowance, with a Vehicle Licence / Tax Disc over-stamped with Disabled and clearly displaying a Blue Badge & Parking Clock in the vehicle windscreen

From the Main Car Park, access to the Festival Village is through the grounds of the Fowey Hall Hotel - a new set of concrete steps now provides easier access from the Main Car Park into the grounds of the hotel. In Fowey, Cornwall Council Car Parks are : 'Main' Car Park, 'Beach' Car Park & 'Caffa Mill' Car Park - the one nearest the river. 

If a disabled person is a car passenger, the driver is requested to drop your passenger off in the car park of the Fowey Hall Hotel, as close as possible to the Festival Village entrance, park the car in the Pay and Display 'Main' Car Park and then walk back to the Festival Village.  If assistance is required for the disabled person, leave a message for the Organisers on (01726) 22 35 35, giving your phone number.  They will call you back about providing an escort from the Fowey Hall Hotel car park. Driversmust not park their cars in the hotel car park.

If the disabled person is the car driver, please contact the Organisers on (01726) 223535, leave your phone number. They will phone you back to discuss what alternative arrangements are available for your own situation.

Cornwall Council Car Parks - Long Stay parking charges are on Cornwall Council website and the Car Park Tariff boards
The charges in May will be :
Daytime from 09:00 hrs to 18:00hrs £1.10 up to 1 hour; £2.40 for 1 to 2 hours,  £3.60 for 2 to 3 hours;  £4.00 for 3 to 4 hours; £5.30 per daytime session
Evening from 1800 hrs - 09:00hrs  £2.10 per entry (can be bought at same time as a day charge ticket).

Cornwall Council  Weekly Rover Car Parking tickets are available in two flavours -Every-Day (7days) £35.00  or  Week-Day (Mon-Fri) £25.00  and can be used at any Long Stay, Cornwall Council Car Parks throughout Cornwall.   In Fowey these are; the 'Main', 'Readymoney' and 'Caffa Mill' Car Parks. Either of the WeeklyRover tickets can be purchased in advance, phone (01726) 223365 and pay over the phone or request a form to be sent to you by post and pay by cheque.  The form is also available Online.

Disabled access to Community Events by virtue of the range of venues, the quality of access may vary.  We are gathering access information from the community event organisers at the moment.  The events will all carry a symbol to indicate if they are considered suitable for wheelchair access but please contact the organisers to verify the conditions applying - many events are of a temporary nature.
